01What hardware do I need?
A computer, tablet or phone with a browser. Taka POS works with USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners, prints on 58 mm and 80 mm receipt printers or A4, and can use any phone’s camera as a scanner.
02How does the phone scanner work?
Click “Connect phone” on the till and scan the QR code. The phone opens a scanner page — no app or login — and every barcode it reads is added to the cart instantly. It stays connected until you disconnect it.
03How do you track expiry dates?
Every delivery is stored as a batch with its cost, selling price and expiry. Sales take from the batch that expires first, and products close to expiry or already expired are flagged on the overview.
04Can I sell on credit?
Yes. At checkout you can take part of the total and leave the rest as due on the client’s account. Take the payment later from the sale, and see every client’s outstanding balance.
05Can I manage several branches?
Yes. Each branch has its own till, stock, purchases and expenses, while products, suppliers and clients are shared. Staff can be assigned to one or more branches.
06Can staff have different permissions?
Every user has a role — owner, admin, manager or cashier. You can require two-factor sign-in for the whole company, and every sign-in and security change is kept in the activity log.
07Does it work without internet?
Taka POS runs online so every branch sees the same numbers. If the connection drops, the till keeps the cart safe and you can charge it as soon as you are back online.
08Are receipts available in Arabic?
Yes. The whole system works in Arabic and English, receipts print right-to-left in Arabic, and you can translate your product names into both languages.
